Emily Godley made her third Commonwealth Games appearance on the Gold Coast after placing 5th at Glasgow 2014. 

Emily, from Meopham, joined the other weightlifters in Team England’s squad to compete at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre in the women's 75kg and won a gold medal. 

She is coached by Andrew Callard at Europa Weightlifting Club.
