Harry Birchill’s maiden appearance at a Commonwealth Games saw him finish eighth in the mountain biking cross country at Birmingham 2022.
The 22-year-old was crowned the Under-23 cross country champion at the National Championships in Plymouth, shortly before that, just down the road from where Birchill grew up.
The Devonian’s very first race was a South West cyclocross event when he was seven and he has since taken his talents to the global stage, winning a Youth Olympic Games bronze medal in Buenos Aires four years ago.
Track Cycling and Para Track Cycling
Cycling at the Commonwealth Games in the past has taken place across three different disciplines; Track Cycling, Road Cycling and Mountain Bike.
