Jamell Anderson

Jamell Anderson struck gold in Birmingham, claiming Commonwealth Games gold in the 3x3 basketball in front of a home crowd.

Anderson initially made a name for himself at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast for something he did on-court, but it was not a dunk, a block and did not even involve a basketball.

The 6ft7 power forward hit the headlines after proposing to partner and England Women’s basketball player Georgia Jones on the court.

He has been a regular fixture since breaking into the GB set-up and also has experience in 3x3 having turned out for England in 3x3 FIBA World Championships in 2012.
