Jess Fullagar acted as Katie Crowhurst’s guide at Birmingham 2022 as she stormed to a stunning gold.

Fullagar is a triathlete of supreme quality herself, taking bronze in the junior women's World Triathlon Grand Final in 2019.

Until June of 2022, the 22-year-old represented France, having attended school across the Channel.

The University of Leeds graduate won the British Triathlon Senior Super Series in the city by 83 seconds back in June.

Kick-starting the Team England medal count on the opening day, Alex Yee and Georgia Taylor-Brown delivered Team England a Gold and Silver apiece, before bookending a dominant Mixed Relay title winning team on Sunday 31st July alongside Sophie Coldwell and Sam Dickinson to a rapturous support around Sutton Park.
