Kelly Petersen-Pollard

Local judoka Kelly Petersen-Pollard roared to a brilliant bronze medal as Part of the Pride in Birmingham.

The judoka clinched a medal in the women's -70kg category after making it all the way to the semi-finals at her home Games. 

Peterson-Pollard came into the Games in fine form, winning three bronze medals in IJF Grand Slams in the last two years. 

The European Junior champion started her career path earlier than most, attending primary school judo classes at age 4.
