Lele Nairne came agonisingly close to Commonwealth Games glory in Birmingham, narrowly missing out on a medal in the repechage match.
She was selected unexpectedly as an injury replacement to world No.1 Lucy Renshall.
The Somerset star, who emerged from Bradley Stoke Judo Club, took European U23 silver in 2018 to cement her status as one to watch.
Nairne previously won a host of medals at European Open and European Cup level, before winning the 2022 IJF Grand Prix.
