Supermum Rebecca Redfern came back to win a second Paralympic swimming medal just a year after giving birth.
Just nine months after the arrival of son Patrick, she achieved the required qualification standard time at the British Para-Swimming International Meet in Sheffield to book her place in Japan. She took silver in the 100m breaststroke SB13 to complete a remarkable return to the sport.
During lockdown, the Worcestershire star trained in a hot tub in her back garden while completing a university degree and looking after Patrick.
It was Redfern's second Paralympic Games after she also won silver in Rio 2016, and she is all set for a Team England debut in Birmingham.
