Victoria Ohuruogu’s tale of persistence continued last summer when winning Commonwealth Games silver in Birmingham.

The younger sister of Olympic gold medallist, Christine, Victoria once looked as though she would topple her sibling with a flurry of medals in her early 20s, including gold in the 2015 U23 European Championships.

Having posted 200m and 400m PBs in 2022, she duly delivered in the 400m, finishing second when setting another personal best in the final.
